Sunday afternoon... the daughter and I stopped at the Pita Pit on Central Ave near UNM. In all the time we have lived here, this is one place we just never got around to stopping at. And what a shame.

The Pita Pit sorta resembles a Subway restaurant in layout.... but the food is definitely Mediterranean in style. Gyros, Pitas, babaganoush.... fabulous. Everything is fresh and affordable.

Messy.... but dang.. they are good.

As a "bonus" .. they have a sitting area out back. Someone has taken a definite effort to bring in some desert friendly plants, and landscaping designs so that it's not just a few tables near the alleyways. It's actually quite nice.

And an even nicer "bonus" ... the guys who work there are really friendly, and really enjoy their jobs.... and it shows.
