Photography... it can be complex... and it can be really simple.

So many photographers get bogged down in the details... the gear... the rule of thirds... composition... lighting... shutter speed... aperture
... it can all be overwhelming.

So... what makes a good photograph?
For me... it boils down to this: How does the photograph make you  feel...
In my photography... I really try to get across to the viewer the emotion of what I am feeling as I take that photo... the sadness... the joy... the wonder of it all...

Ansel Adams was quoted as saying, "A good photograph is one that fully expresses how one feels."
One only has to look at some of Ansel's photographs... to see that he was very emotional about his subjects.
I love Ansel's work... and he has always been a huge inspiration to me.
