Today we went from Oklahoma... and into Missouri.
It seems like we are traveling very slowly, but on the other hand... I'm not sure what we could do to speed things up any. I found that all day today I was fairly miserable... and I kept talking to myself and trying to figure out what was wrong... when it occurred to me how much pain I was in ... with my lower back in particular... and with pretty bad swelling in my legs, arms and face. Not sure what it causing it... but the hubby has been forcing me to take it a little easier today.
We started off with a quick trip to a Starbuck's... and it was delish.
From there we just did alot of driving.
Our view today was mostly all farm/ ranch land... green...fertile... and in full bloom.
It is truly amazing. It is all so lush and pretty. In all the years I've been traveling back and forth from Albuquerque to Pa... this is, by far, the prettiest.
Today was also a day of technical difficulties. I've been having trouble with my phone... and I can't seem to access any of the cell phone photos I've taken on this trip. Today... I accidentally broke the battery compartment lid... so it's been a bit problematic to take photos and hold the battery in place at that same time. (even with it taped... and secured... it still wibbles about). Anyway... it's not the end of the world... and so we "carry on."
We did take time out to late this afternoon ... to explore one of my favorite places.... which is the Heartland Antique Mall in Lebanon, Missouri... and then we had dinner at the fabulous T's Redneck Steakhouse.... which is nearby the Antique Mall.
Tonight, we are right outside of St. Louis, and hope to get close to Dayton, Ohio by tomorrow night. See you all tomorrow!
((and in case you were wondering... all the photos for today's post were shot from the moving van... from the road.
No changes were made in the color of the photos... just some cropping and sharpening of some of the details))
