It's very hot and humid today... so I hope to be spending time in the (much cooler) studio.

I am always amazed at the orange day-lily (above). When I was a teenager, my grandmother had them all around the one side of her house. They were lush! When we moved back to PA.. there were no flowers around this house (we're working on that)... .and certainly, no day-lilies in the nearby areas. And yet.... I keep getting this one bloom. Personally, I think it's my grandmother's way of looking out for me 💛 and letting me know she is around.
