Back in June 2016, I started a new "series" of posts... if you will...
And so on Wednesdays; I've been posting an old photograph to inspire your creativity.
Write a poem!
 Plot out a short story.
Have inspiration for a piece of art or composition.... let your artistic soul shine.
--and occasionally I write my own sordid story or poem.
(you can click on the photos in this post to make it larger to see).

Ah June. The month of weddings.
Milton and Claire were not the type of folks who wanted a large wedding.
But Claire was an only daughter, and Milton had 4 younger sisters that were "just dying" to be bridesmaids...
seeing this as the social event of the year.  And so they planned the event.
June 28th... at her parent's summer cottage up at the lake.
They would have a short ceremony, performed by their Lutheran minister. Then they were having an "old-fashioned" picnic.
Guests brought dishes of food... some of the menfolk were going to go fishing on the lake. It was a grand affair. Cousins brought their guitars... music was sung around the campfires while fresh bass cooked slowly beside the last of the winter potatoes.
And then they were off to Virginia for the honeymoon.
Claire made sure she had a new hat to wear on the train.
Milton had a new tie for his well-loved suit.
As they looked back at their guests as they got into the taxi... Milton's sisters (all dressed in yellow chiffon)
waved goodbye in sync. It was like a scene from a movie.
