I am thinking that the two women on the ends are probably sisters, with the one sister's daughter, and probably mother in the middle. These kind of "generational" photographs are awesome.

The smiles on these women show us how carefree summers can be...

Perhaps they all took a trip to the shore? Perhaps it was a family gathering ... a wedding or birth... who knows. The lady on the far right sure looks like she is looking out for her mother... maybe she is the primary caretaker? ... maybe she and her sister disagree on how to take care of mom? .. or maybe she just doesn't approve of the youngest woman's dress? Only you can tell the story...
