Today the weather is a bit dull and dreary... but things are coming awake from the winter.
Last night, there were several deer in the yard... and today the birds are flocking to the birdfeeder.
And me? I am tired... still working on healing from a Lupus flare... but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...
or in the case of the photo above... at the edge of the woods >>grin<<

This year promises to be full of fun.
Since moving back to PA just over a year ago; I've been compiling a list of shows and events in the area -- specifically, ones that feature artisans to vend at. Then I got (really) busy with the Potter County Artisan Center; and it just got put to the back burner. Now, I have a brief window of time; and so I am working on it again. I was very surprised that a "master list" of sorts did not exist... that no one had compiled one before... but there ya go. And so... I've got it all started; and a page on Facebook, and a master list and photos of flyers as they are available. The hope is, that folks will be more aware of artisan events in the area... put up flyers... spread the word... attend... and support local artisans and crafts-folk. It really benefits an entire community when people pull together in support like that.... and it can make such a difference in the lives of so many.

And what am I personally planning?
Well, vending at some of those shows for sure... but also trying to get my home studio up and running...
and (eventually) open to the public for shows and open studio tours and such.
I have several dear friends who are working on their businesses... and I want to help out as much as possible... showing with them.... spreading the word...
It's all about making art.... and enjoying the craft.... and sharing that passion with as many folks as possible.
To that end; I can see classes and special events coming this year as well.

And then, I need to work on the yard... and the (future) gardens.... and ... and...
Lots of fun coming up... lots of art.... lots of jewelry making.... lots of great times with great friends.
And isn't that what it's all about? Helping each other... sharing our passions and knowledge with others...
having fun.... and yes, hopefully making a living at it along the way.
Here's to the coming spring! ... and a great (rest of the) year to come.

And here is a new necklace and earring set I made; that will be listed this week in my Etsy shop.
It is comprised of stunningly gorgeous hunks of turquoise, and bright red coral beads... and lots of sterling silver.
