I recently saw this quote,
"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." -- Howard Thurman
In other words... the world needs YOU ... and your passion.
When you passionately pursue what it is that you love, you create this stream of like minded fish who want to swim in your stream. It's like you are waving this bright red flag. Some folks will see it. They will spontaneously show up. They become involved, interested... heck, some are even supportive and buy your stuff. It's awesome when it happens; and I've had it happen to me.
It's this (almost) freakish phenomenon... but it's true.
I was reviewing my finances the other day (yah, I know)... and I was noticing a trend.
When I made something I was really passionate about... it seemed to sell right away.
It's like the wonderful, happy energy I had creating it.... was somehow transferred to those who saw it... and folks responded in a positive way. I'm sure you've seen it as well.... you do something with no real joy or initiative... and it shows. Same thing.
These past few weeks, I have felt in a rut of sorts. I can't seem to get motivated.
I am behind on work. I have orders to complete. I can't get anything done; because I can't get motivated to start. I am worn out. Used up.
But this weekend; the tide turned.
Yes, I am still exhausted... but I am working on it.
Yes, I still have my moments... but they are waning.
Time to swim with some happy, passionate fish :)
(like the photo above? Did you know I take photos most every.single.day?
This is one I took near Portville, NY... in a swampy area... in the middle of nowhere. It was awesome.)
