Sorry I am so late in posting today's post.
Today I had fun working at the art center; and by the time I got home... I really needed a nap.
So I made dinner and laid down for a bit... such is a "day in the life."

Tomorrow I will be painting some windows (yes... me... painting!)...
And then (starting Friday) the town will be full of Maple Festival activities.

The Maple Festival here in town always brings to mind sweet things...
small town parades... children wandering about with their beloved pooch on the end of a leash... or perhaps a bunny snuggled in their arms... the smell of cotton candy in the air... the taste of powdered sugar on your lips from that first funnel cake... eaten all too quickly... in the hopes of yet another... the local high school band.... singers in the town gazebo... music notes being lifted into the air and swirling about like the maple leaves... soon to be budding on the trees surrounding the main streets... I love it all.

But for tonight.... I will dream of maple syrup on pancakes... homemade quilts on tables... Amish rocking chairs.... and those that sit idly watching it all...
