Still in a funk. Forcing myself to do things… the bare necessities of moving through this world. Take care of the pup… do the dishes… wash the laundry… make the bed… water the plants. Not sure what is going on. Feel like time is moving so very fast, and I am standing still. Feel like I have been spending way too much money… because I can’t get it together (ordering food, etc). Feel like so much wasted space. But, today, I made myself go outside for a bit though… and that was good.

It’s Halloween/ Samhain. My favorite time of the year… and I am in a bit of a funk. No idea why, but it’s unnerving. … The photo for today’s “createDaily” shot is one I took of the hallway & stairs of our apartment building. I’ve added a couple layers that I felt were a little “spooky”… and changed the colors a bit. Just something fun for the night.

Took this photo today, wandering around the apartment complex. It is certainly deep into autumn out here.

Then, the hubby came home and we went out to dinner to celebrate; as Jim got a “long awaited change in status” at work. Basically, I would view it as a promotion, technically, he says it isn’t. But I still think it’s awesome… and am very proud of him and the work he does.

Because of my SLE, I oftentimes have huge fluctuations in how much energy I have. To help with this, I have learned lots of coping mechanisms over the years. One of the things I do, is to try to do as much cooking as I can during times I am ok, so that I have future meals ready in the fridge/ freezer.
The other day, I made a huge pot of roasted chicken soup.
I also made this scrumptious beef pot roast. It has a small roast, potatoes, celery, onions, carrots, corn, spice, etc. I tried the "Better than Bouillon" in a jar, and have to say, it is really good.

And…. below. I also tried my hand at a Vegan Burger. Ciabatta rolls with seeds, ketchup, mustard, provolone cheese, spinach. The "meat" is a cool new product from Beyond Burger/ Reducitarianismo.

Another gorgeous day here….

Not a ton of color that I am used to seeing in PA in the fall… but there are still spots of vibrancy that blow me away.

I’ve been intentionally trying to stay off-line for the most part. I have been finding that it is just too much stress for me…. at least for right now. I still keep up with what is going on, but I just can’t stomach (literally) the barrage of hatred and such that I am seeing all the time when I am on facebook. I abhor what our country has become… .and the evil that is this administration and it’s supporters. That said…. I am doing what I can to counter their monstrous actions, even if it’s just in little bits. Last month I donated to a couple charities that I support, and made a monetary donation to the ACLU. This month, I donated to 2 animal rescues that are in my hometown in Potter County, PA… and made 2 personal monetary donations to friends that both had outrageous pet bills they needed to pay on. I also donated some cool items to my hometown library’s annual fundraiser/ auctions. I know it’s not as much as some…. but I truly believe that if we all try to do a little bit… change will come.

— got groceries, ran errands, made soup.
The soup has tons of roasted chicken, celery, onions, sweet peppers, carrots, mushrooms, baby potatoes, salt & pepper, chives, tarragon, and sage.

First Scrabble game in a long while (and yes, I won!). It’s a gorgeous day, and the hubby and I are just relaxing. Tonight we went out to dinner with Jim’s oldest brother John and his wife Susan, and his older brother Jeff and his wife Diane (who were celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary). It was great.

It’s been a rough day… missing our granddaughter very much on what is her 9th birthday (we have no contact with her or her mom, or her mom’s family—per their wishes./ court orders… whom she lives with in NM). But this little guy helps ease the pain.

…an older photo that I edited today. Some days, I can’t …. I just can’t seem to do anything. I feel a great need to get things done… but I am so … very… tired. And sore. And ick. … ergh. But it was a lovely day.

#createDaily - and today I am clearing out a few things, and working on some potential CHAKRA themed pieces. Not sure if they will be focals for bracelets or for necklaces.

It’s been a busy weekend…. and a productive one. Took ZeeZe to his grooming appointment, where he got a nice haircut, shampoo and nail trimming. They also drew blood-work to make sure he was tolerating his new meds ok (and he is).

Also got groceries…. ran errands….

And… have been slowly, but surely trying to get some art hung up on the walls here of the apartment. We have a ton of art, and some of it I am not as inclined to keep anymore…. but I think I will hang on to it all and re-evaluate in a year. In the meantime… here is what I got up.

I think I might be done with “people-ing” for a bit. Had a weird incident online that for some reason has really thrown me for a loop, deep inside. ….. >>sigh<<

Box contains: Lots and lots of glass beads, handmade lampwork beads, antique glass crystals, 14K GP cross/clasp/gemstone charms lot, lots of wire, rosary cording, a bag of silk tassels, a bag of leather cording, and some jewelry pieces she can take apart of sell as is.
Just sharing the love 💛

Jasper.jpg

I also think I am going to be working with some Jasper stones this coming week.

IMHO, Jasper is a highly underrated stone.
"Jasper is an opaque variety of Chalcedony, and is usually associated with brown, yellow, or reddish colors. The appeal of Jasper is its interesting color patterns and formations. Though it can be a solid color, it is most often mottled, spotted, ringed, or striped. Each Jasper has a unique color or pattern, lending this gemstone much variety. Jasper is an ancient gemstone, and is mentioned in the bible and other classical sources. Though fairly common and affordable today, Jasper in antiquity was regarded as a valuable stone."
In general, Jasper stones encourage grounding and stability by connecting us to nature at a deeper level-- and it's healing properties lead the way to prosperity, creativity, and pure joy.
